Campaign 2026/27

Six Pillars of Action

R-Yang Maintenance is committed to reducing our environmental footprint across every operation. The six initiatives below outline our targets, mechanisms, and scoring measures as we work toward more sustainable and responsible operations.

EFFORT 01

Water-Efficient Technology

Water-saving equipment · water reuse · waterless

Integration of multi-functional smart equipment technology that maintains operational productivity while reducing reliance on chemicals and water consumption.

Target & Scoring
Operations (Warehouse): 50% of total equipment per purchase. Score: % of 2025 inventory, RM.
Mechanism
Water-recycling machines or waterless equipment. Equipment upgrades (e.g. mop trolley to smart mop).
Remarks
Transition of equipment to 50% of 2025 inventory, with a service life of more than 6 months.
EFFORT 02

Sustainable Waste

Composting · upcycling of dry solid waste

Reducing the buildup of non-organic solid waste sent to landfills through shredding and decomposition strategies for upcycling, in line with circular economy principles and the ESG agenda for managing non-degradable waste.

Target & Scoring
Operations (Site management). Score: kg/month/item.
Mechanism
Shred wood products and revalue them for buyers.
Remarks
Investment in equipment and manpower, plus collaboration with clients. Implemented at site level with reporting overseen from executives to the client's sustainability unit.
EFFORT 03

Fabric Recycling

Reuse of fabric materials, 5 types

Building a sustainable fabric-recycling ecosystem to reduce textile waste sent to landfills, restore reuse value, lower reliance on purchasing new fabric, and support reuse by secondary projects in line with the environmental sustainability agenda.

Target & Scoring
Operations (Warehouse): 80% of the 2025 average monthly purchase. Score: kg/month/item (site & warehouse).
Mechanism
Site: record scoring each month for warehouse collection. Warehouse: revalue and restore for secondary projects.
Remarks
Recollection from sites to the warehouse for each type: mop, cloth, dust mop, lamb wool, uniform (e.g. blue, red, yellow mops).
EFFORT 04

3R: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Reduction · segregation · recycling

Reducing the use of and reliance on unsustainable, environmentally polluting materials in operations, while optimising the segregation and reuse of assets through revaluation, monetisation, refurbishment, and extending asset life cycles, in line with 3R principles and the ESG agenda.

Target & Scoring
Operations (Warehouse): 30% of the 2025 average monthly material purchase. Score: kg/month/item (site & warehouse).
Mechanism
Site: frequency of bin liner changes, waste-control equipment, store SOPs. Warehouse: reduce material purchasing.
Remarks
Reduce reliance on polluting materials (plastic, chemicals) through equipment and SOP upgrades. Segregation and recycling through client collaboration: sell, refurbish, and reuse client assets.
EFFORT 05

Energy-Efficient Technology

Energy-efficient equipment & machinery · EV

Adopting energy-efficient technology and shifting to battery-based electric alternatives (EV) to reduce fossil fuel use, replacing vehicles, machinery, and equipment with electric technology that is more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and aligned with our ESG commitment.

Target & Scoring
Management: vehicle assets converted to EV. Operations (Warehouse): no purchases without approval; sell or replace with EV equipment. Score: reduction in carbon emissions (per km, per hour).
Mechanism
Site: frequency of bin liner changes, use of waste-control equipment, store SOPs. Warehouse: reduce material purchasing.
Remarks
Upgrading operations with sustainable systems, energy optimisation, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, long-term cost efficiency, and compliance with ESG principles.
EFFORT 06

Rainwater Harvesting

Collection & reuse of rainwater

Establishing a sustainable effort to collect and use rainwater, aiming to lower resource consumption, protect the environment, and raise awareness of the importance of conservation.

Target & Scoring
Management: vehicle assets converted to EV. Operations (Warehouse): no purchases without approval; sell or replace with EV equipment. Score: reduction in carbon emissions (per km, per hour).
Mechanism
Site: frequency of bin liner changes, use of waste-control equipment, store SOPs. Warehouse: reduce material purchasing.
Remarks
Upgrading existing operations with sustainable systems, energy optimisation, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, long-term cost efficiency, and compliance with ESG principles.
